What to Hunt โ Artifact Priority List
All 40 artifacts have uniform weight 8 in the base loot table (data/artifacts/loot_tables/artifact.json), giving ~2.5% each per roll. Some are dramatically better than others.

How to farmโ
Method 1: Per-player chest exploitโ
Use Lootr behavior (Loophole #7) โ every player gets a fresh copy of each chest:
- Buried Treasure (25% chance per chest for artifact pool)
- Village Toolsmith chest (artifacts inject)
- Village Weaponsmith chest (artifacts inject)
- Shipwreck Treasure (artifacts inject)
- Mineshaft chests (Bat Backpack 5%)
Method 2: Hostile mob spawn-withโ
From the Travelers Backpack mod data (also applies to Artifacts via similar injection):
- Zombies, Skeletons, Endermen have 0.5% chance to spawn wearing an artifact
- Aggressive culling of these mobs over time = passive artifact farming
Method 3: Villager tradesโ
Some artifacts buyable from Wandering Trader or specific village professions via mod compatibility.
The Bat Backpack synergyโ
If you don't have the Lucky Scarf yet, the Bat Backpack (from travelersbackpack) provides permanent Night Vision:
- 5% chance in Mineshaft chests
- 5% chance in Dungeon chests
This frees you from needing Night Vision Goggles โ use that artifact slot for something else.
Artifact slot stackingโ
You have trinkets-3.7.2 + accessories-fabric installed. Multiple ring/amulet/belt/back slots. Theoretically you can wear:
- 4-6 rings (Jewelry mod)
- 1-2 amulets
- 1 belt (Antidote Vessel or Lucky Scarf)
- 1 back (Cloud in a Bottle works in back slot)
- 1 hat (Night Vision Goggles or Wizard Hat)
- 1 boots (Running Shoes or Aqua Dashers)
- 1 hand (Fire Gauntlet)
Stacking 10+ artifacts plus jewelry plus armor enchants = effectively a second armor set.
